Board Certified in Civil Trial by the Florida Bar Board of Legal Specialization and Education
Florida Bar Board Certification is a reflection of an attorney's skill, professionalism, and overall excellence. To be certified in Civil Trial by the Florida Bar, an attorney must demonstrate at least five years in civil trial practice. The attorney must also offer a satisfactory showing of involvement in the field of law for which certification is sought, meet a continuing legal education requirement, and pass a rigorous certification exam. The Florida Bar Board then conducts a peer review assessment of an attorney's character, ethics, and professionalism. Board Certified in Business Litigation by the Florida Bar Board of Legal Specialization and Education
To be certified in Business Litigation, an attorney must demonstrate at least five years of actual practice, of which at least 30 percent was dedicated to active participation in business litigation. The attorney must show substantial involvement in a minimum of 25 contested business litigation matters during the 5 years prior to application, of which at least eight proceeded to bench trial or jury trial. The attorney then undergoes an exhaustive examination and a substantive peer review of their credentials. As of September 2010, there are 219 attorneys in Florida who have earned this prestigious recognition and Michael Keane ranks among them.
Board Certified in Appellate Practice by the Florida Bar Board of Legal Specialization and Education
The Florida Bar recognizes the competence and experience of an attorney through a rigorous certification process. To be certified in Appellate Practice by the Florida Bar, a lawyer must demonstrate at least five years in appellate practice and primary responsibility in at least 25 appeals. The lawyer must demonstrate that he had sole or primary responsibility in preparing at least five oral arguments and substantial involvement in brief writing, motion practice, oral arguments, and extraordinary writs. Brandon S. Vesely is one of only 170 lawyers in the state of Florida who are board certified in Appellate Litigation, as of September 2010.
